From an early age, I found solace in the realm of creativity and storytelling. Drawing, painting, and sculpting were not just pastimes; they were a part of who I was. However, I struggled to identify a specific niche for my talents, leaving me uncertain about my creative path.
As I grew older, I found myself drawn toward various creative fields, but the lack of exposure to artists and creatives in my immediate circle left me feeling lost. With the notion that only a select few become renowned artists, I decided to pursue a different path and enrolled in a Masters in Marketing program.
During my academic journey, fate intervened and led me to a transformative discovery – Procreate. This powerful graphic design software for iOS opened up a whole new world for me. My brother and a few others on Instagram were creating stunning artwork using Procreate, and I was intrigued. With my brother's guidance, I delved into this digital canvas and began experimenting with abstracts, vector art, and cartoon figures.
The experience of creating art on Procreate proved to be cathartic and calming, igniting a flame of passion within me. I embraced a self-taught approach, devouring tutorials, drawing inspiration from online platforms like Pinterest and YouTube, and learning from accomplished designers. Gradually, my skills evolved, and I found myself transitioning from abstracts and cartoons to creating logos and animating them.
Logo creation became my muse, and I dreamt of crafting captivating short animated stories. The prospect of weaving narratives through art and animation excited me beyond words.
Seeking to enrich my creative arsenal further, I ventured into the realm of Adobe Photoshop. This software had always held a special allure for me, and I marveled at the wonders designers created with it. I immersed myself in YouTube videos and designer blogs, absorbing every bit of knowledge I could.
I may not consider myself a master of these tools, but I take pride in the art I have created thus far. Each creation represents a step forward in my artistic journey, reminding me that learning is a lifelong process.
